GP Ouest France – Plouay 2011

Voeckler won the race in 2007

GP Ouest France – Plouay takes place tomorrow in Brittany region. Last year the race was won by Matty Goss and Simon Gerrans was the winner in 2009. Goss dropped out sick from Vuelta so will not feature in the race for so many reasons. Simon Gerrans won the Tour of Denmark recently and seems to be in good form. But the current king of one day races is Philippe Gilbert and looking at his perpetual form this year, I will put my dollar on him. My outside bet for the race is Sacha Modolo who had good results in the Tour of Denmark and was a close second in the London Olmypic test event. Looking for a confirmed spot in the Italy’s World Championship team, Sacha will have an added motivation to do well. Let’s see if he can keep PhilGil at bay.
